What personal data we collect and how

We only collect what we need to discuss and deliver a kitchen project.

  • Contact form on /contact/. Name, email address, phone number, project location / postcode, project type, project description, investment range, optional timeframe.
  • Email or phone enquiries. Whatever you share when you start a conversation with us.
  • Project information. During an active project, the details we record to design, specify, order and install your kitchen — measurements, finishes, appliance choices, addresses, supplier lead times, and any correspondence we exchange with you, your builder, your architect or your interior designer.
  • Website analytics. The site does not currently run analytics. If Google Analytics 4 is enabled in future, it would record aggregated visit-level data only (statistics-level; not used to identify individuals).
  • Marketing tracking (Pinterest Tag). Where you have given marketing-cookie consent and you then successfully submit the contact form, a single "Lead" event is sent to Pinterest. No personal data is sent — only the event itself and any non-personal Pinterest cookie identifier. If you have not given consent, no Pinterest tracking runs. See /cookies/.
  • Contact-form submissions (Netlify Forms). Enquiries sent through the contact form are submitted to and stored by Netlify Forms, the form service provided by our website host, so we can receive, review and reply to them. Netlify processes this data on our behalf as a processor.
  • Email notifications. When you submit the contact form, an internal notification is sent to piqu so we can reply to your enquiry.

Legal bases for processing

The intended legal bases under UK GDPR are likely to include:

  • Contract — to discuss and deliver a kitchen or furniture project you have asked us to quote for or deliver.
  • Legitimate interests — to manage enquiries, to maintain project records, and to operate the business.
  • Consent — for any marketing tracking (Pinterest Tag) and for any marketing communications.

Data retention

  • Enquiries that did not become projects: the intended retention is approximately 24 months from the last contact, after which the record is reviewed and deleted unless we have a contract or another retention reason.
  • Active projects and completed projects: project records are kept for the duration of any warranty and statutory limitation periods that apply, then deleted or anonymised.

Who we share data with (processors)

The intended processors are likely to be:

  • Netlify Forms — receiving, storing and exporting contact-form enquiries.
  • An email provider for sending and receiving correspondence with you.
  • Web hosting and CDN for the website.
  • Pinterest — only where you have given marketing-cookie consent. Only the Lead event is sent; no personal data.
  • Manufacturers and trades working on a specific project (e.g. Leicht, Gaggenau, Bora, Siemens, Sudbrock, installation trades) — only the project details they need to do their work.

International transfers

Some of the services above may be hosted outside the UK / EEA. Where that is the case, we rely on the relevant UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement. To be confirmed once the processor list is final.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have rights to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it if it is wrong; ask us to delete it where we no longer have a reason to keep it; ask us to restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format where this applies; and withdraw consent (where consent is the basis we rely on).

To exercise any of these rights, email elevate@piqu.co.uk or write to the registered office at 16 Vinson Close, Orpington, BR6 0EG.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
